Aged Veal & Vintage Goose Island Bourbon County Varieties On The Menu At Harry Caray’s Tavern Navy Pier

In Beer News, Press Release by Karl

While “aged veal” may not sound like the most appetizing thing in town, the team at Harry Caray’s actually has a pretty well rounded aging system – and it is one of the few places where you can sample both a wet-aged and dry-aged piece of beef. Normally the process is applied to steak, but using the same techniques on veal is quite interesting.

If that doesn’t ring your bell, 2010 Bourbon County Stout Vanilla paired with doughnut holes should do it. Pork belly and venison sausage are the meaty icing on the proverbial cake. We’re not huge fans of the view from Navy Pier (tourists can have it all to themselves), but we will say this: for Skyline views while drinking craft beer, pretty much only a 5 Rabbit event at the Adler Planetarium will probably outpace this event.
