It’s been a busy end of 2012, beginning of 2013  for the MillerCoors family of distributors in Chicago.

First, the nine wholesalers closed out 2012 by adding craft powerhouse Dogfish Head and West Michigan staple New Holland. At that time, we noted that:

“Dogfish Head and Glunz have been duking it out in federal court the last few months trying to determine how much money DFH will be required to pay Glunz to switch distributors. According to the Illinois Beer Industry Fair Dealing Act, when a brewer terminates a contract with a distributor they are required to pay the distributor “reasonable compensation.” The two have been at odds over what compensation amount would be considered reasonable.”

Today, the Chicago cluster is officially adding another Midwest craft brewer; Kansas City, MO based Boulevard Brewing.

The brand was most recently repped in the Chicago area by boutique distributor Fox Deluxe.

The Chicago area MillerCoors distributors, known as OneIllinois, will take over distribution of Boulevard’s full portfolio of beers including year-round offerings, seasonals, and the popular smokestack series.
