Revolution Brewing Owner Josh Deth confirms to GuysDrinkingBeer that the likes of Anti-Hero IPA, Eugene Porter and Bottom Up Wit will soon be available in Ohio.

Revolution recently signed on with Cavalier Distributing, who has distribution networks in both Ohio and Indiana. The wholesaler’s portfolio is a veritable who’s who of craft brands including; Dogfish Head, Stone, Great Divide and Left Hand – just to name a few.

Cavalier also distributes three other Chicago area brewers – Three Floyds, Two Brothers and 5 Rabbit.

Revolution’s venture east is their first distribution deal outside of Illinois but it probably won’t be the last. Deth says some neighboring states are next in line, although he wouldn’t say which ones or when.

Of particular interest to Revolution in its move into Ohio is Cleveland, a city GQ recently named one of the five best beer cities in America, and a city Deth feels “has a good craft scene going on.”

Revolution opened a production brewery earlier this year on Kedzie avenue, with the capacity to brew 25,000 barrels a year and the ability to expand far beyond that in the future.
