The first collaboration for Stone Brewing Company in 2013 involves a Chicago area brewery, but probably not in the way that you might imagine.
A few weeks ago, we brought you the news that Two Brothers was entering the coffee world. It’s that product that’s going to make up a part of the new beer, and presumably Stone will be calling on the brewing prowess of our friends in the Western Suburbs as well.
Until we know more, however, it’s enough to imagine what Two Brothers, Stone and coffee could create.

Andrew at beerfx.com confirms, in the comments, that the collaborative beer will be a coffee IPA and was the winner of this fall’s Iron Brew competition in Chicago.

The name of the homebrewer collective is “Aleman”. You can find them running the barnat Rockwells neighborhood pub.
