Now that the yoke of Fall Beer Freedom Day has been lifted from my shoulders and the date is receding into the distance, I find myself doing exactly what I suggested everyone else do (which should come as some solace, in that I can take the advice that I dish out). I’ve been going a little nuts on all different kinds of seasonal beers, Oktoberfests and pumpkin beers in specific.
Rather than dive headfirst into three paragraphs each in some vain attempt to bolster our hit count, I thought I’d dump a few hundred words about all of them so perhaps, you may enjoy the things we have and avoid the stuff that we didn’t.

We saw this in our news feed at the bottom of the site and thought it was worth its own post.
Anheuser-Busch wholesaler Grey Eagle, which is based in Maryland Heights, Missouri, is buying Illinois Distributing Company. Illinois Distributing, also an AB wholesaler, is based across the river in Belleville, Illinois.
While both are AB flagship distributors each has a handful of local craft brands in their portfolio including; Urban Chestnut, Perennial, O’Fallon, Morgan Street Brewery & our friends at Six Row.
According to a press release (below) the deal, which is expected to close by the end of the year, will make Grey Eagle one of the largest beer distributors in the Midwest.
