Today marks the beginning of the end for the palates of craft beer drinkers in southern Illinois; Stone Brewing Companies highly acclaimed beers are now available in the southern third of the state.
The brewery recently inked a deal with Koerner Distributor, which is based in Effingham but also has locations in Carterville and New Baden, to distribute its beers.
Stone’s arrival in southern Illinois was first reported by our friend Shawn Connelly, The Beer Philosopher.
The Hangar 9 [in Carbondale] has secured ten … count ’em, ten … Stone beers for the event. A couple of these beers will be exclusive pours for the event (marked with a red asterisk below), meaning you won’t be able to get them anywhere else. I’m thinking this warrants marking your calendars, folks.
