Town and Country Distributors, a finalist for Craft Beer Distributor of the Year at this year’s Great American Beer Festival, just informed us – in 140 characters or less – that Left Coast Brewery’s beers are now in Chicago.
Among the Left Coast offerings soon to find their way onto store shelves, to start, are:
– Hop Juice (not be confused with the Two Brothers beer of the same name), a 9.7% ABV – 82 IBU, hop monster. Left Coast says it, “[s]tarts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Double IPA. This drinkable blend will have you HOPPING till nights end.”
Hop Juice took home a bronze medal at the GABF in the “Imperial or Double India Pale
Ale” category in 2006.
– Asylum, a Belgian Tripel clocking in at nearly 12% ABV. “It has a sweet and spicy, complex fruity aroma and flavor derived from our distinct Belgian yeast strain. Asylum finishes with a subtle, warming character to help you relax on any night.”
– Voo Doo, an 8.5% ABV stout. “This hearty stout is layered with flavors of roasted barley, chocolate, and coffee coming from the highest quality imported malts. Its creamy long lasting head completes the brew, tempting your taste buds to be spellbound.”
– Trestles, an IPA, is the lightest beer of the bunch coming in at 6.8% ABV. It’s also the hoppiest, at 92 IBU’s. “Trestles IPA is light bodied, clean and pleasantly hoppy.”
Left Coast also has a series of seasonal brews including a black IPA, amber, imperial stout and a saison. There’s no word if or when we’ll see those offerings in Chicago.
