Of New Belgium Eric’s Ale, says:
“A sour beer for those who don’t like sour beers. And a fruit beer for those who don’t like fruit beers.”
New Belgium Eric’s Ale
American Wild Ale, 7% ABV
Sayeth the Guys:
Ryan: I have had this beer on tap multiple times. Essentially, anytime I’ve run across it – I’ve ordered it.
Each time it has been delivered in a schooner, looking an apricot or orange in color, and smelling of awesomeness and tart fruit.
Lots of green apples and peaches in the nose of this beer.
Now THIS is what a sour beer should taste like. Up front, you get a puckering sourness followed by the aforementioned green apple tartness and some sweet peaches. The tantalizing tartness goes all the way to the back of the throat and finishes with a little acidity.
This beer is off the charts refreshing. Typically, I like to share bombers, but I may keep one of the New Belgium Eric’s Ale for myself. Sorry Guys.
