Wisconsin Brewing Company Entering Chicago Via OneIllinois

In Beer News by Ryan

The MillerCoors cluster of distributors in the Chicago area, known as OneIllinois, have landed the speedily growing Wisconsin Brewing Company.

wibrewingcoThe brewery is fairly new. Wisconsin Brewing Company opened its 12-million dollar facility last winter and has grown at a rapid pace, launching statewide practically right out of the gate and is now expanding into Illinois.

Wisconsin Brewing Company will officially hit Chicago-area tap handles during Chicago Craft Beer Week, with some 80 bars targeted. The best foot forward beer will be a new one, Porter Joe, which was released in March. The coffee-infused porter is a blend of the brewery’s Brown & Robust Porter and coffee from Barriques in Madison, WI.

All of the above are available North of the Cheddar Curtain in bottles and — most recently — cans. There’s no word on if or when those beers will be available in Illinois. Porter Joe is a draft-only offering.

The OneIllinois cluster includes: Burke Beverage, Chicago Beverage Systems, Euclid Beverage, Hayes Beer Distributing, Chas. Herdrich Distributing, Kloss Distributing, Kozol Bros. Distributors, Joseph Mullarkey Distributors and Town & Country Distributors.
