Team RevBrew are making huge moves, and we won&#8217;t be surprised to find them dominating the Midwest in a few years.<\/p>\n<p>Slight aside: we find Revolution to be thematically and attitudinally (yep, it&#8217;s a word) similar to another Midwestern brewery, Surly, that we wish could grow as quickly. Then maybe we could get them back to Chicago. Even if we can&#8217;t currently get our hands on Darkness, at least we&#8217;ll have plenty of Eugene, Hugene, Wee Gene and all the other Genes to fill our time.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>PRESS RELEASE:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Revolution Brewing, Illinois\u2019 fastest growing craft brewer is expanding its tank farm to double production capacity to 35,000 barrels a year. \u00a0This is the first phase of expansion at the Kedzie Ave. brewery in Chicago\u2019s Avondale neighborhood and it will be completed within a year of the facility\u2019s grand opening last May. \u00a0Two 120-barrel fermenters were added last month and four 240-barrel fermenters are currently in fabrication. The company also plans improvements to its taproom and wood barrel aging cellar and expects to add 10 full-time positions in 2013 to keep pace with growth.<\/p>\n<p>Revolution is also announcing a change in its Cook County distribution with new partners Burke Beverage, Chicago Beverage Systems, Hayes Beer Distribution, Joseph Mullarkey Distributing &amp; Town and Country Distributors. \u00a0\u201cRevolution has quickly become Chicago\u2019s new hometown brewery and this partnership will help us continue to grow in the future.\u201d \u00a0said Josh Deth, Chairman of the Party at Revolution. \u00a0\u201cWe are expanding distribution throughout all of Illinois over the next few months and are looking to go out of state to Wisconsin, Indiana and\/or Kentucky later this year.\u201d \u00a0Revolution is also sold throughout Ohio by Cavalier Distributing.<\/p>\n<p>Revolution Brewing just celebrated its third year in business and was recently named Beverage Maker of the Year by the Chicago Tribune. \u00a0Revolution operates a brewpub at 2323 N. Milwaukee and a 40,000 square foot production brewery with taproom at 3340 N.
