Headquarters Beercade (2833 N Sheffield Ave) turns one this week and is throwing one hell of a party on Friday October 11th to celebrate.

"hqbeercade"30 beers will be tapped for the event, including some barrel-aged rarities and a few creative cask offerings. Among the beers that caught our eye: Goose Island’s Bourbon County Cherry Rye, barrel-aged with Michigan cherries, Evil Twin Imperial Biscotti Break — a porter brewed with espresso, vanilla and toasted almonds — barrel-aged on cherries, Sixpoint Beljam, number 15 in their “mad scientist” series, is a Belgian amber infused with a jalapeno raspberry jam, Southern Tier’s Warlock — a larger, angrier version of Pumking — A barrel-aged version of Lagunitas’ Cappuccino Stout and Revolution Deth’s Tar, a Russian Imperial Stout aged in four different bourbon barrels.

If you’re looking for something that isn’t barrel-aged — or at least under 10% ABV — then there are few tasty-sounding Saison’s from Allagash, Flying Dog and Oskar Blues available as well as a true-to-style Pils from Victory.

As for the casks; well, there’s Tallgrass’ new Zombie Monkie brewed with coconut and roasted almond, a mango infused firkin of Two Brothers Sidekick and Bell’s Two Hearted. There’s nothing additional in the Two Hearted cask…because it’s Two Hearted.
