{"id":14779,"date":"2014-05-30T09:00:07","date_gmt":"2014-05-30T14:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/?p=14779"},"modified":"2018-02-06T14:16:48","modified_gmt":"2018-02-06T20:16:48","slug":"lazy-magnolia-brewing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/lazy-magnolia-brewing\/","title":{"rendered":"Lazy Magnolia Brewing is Coming to Illinois Next Month, Y&#8217;all"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Multiple distributors have confirmed to Guys Drinking Beer that four beers from Lazy Magnolia Brewing will hit store shelves and tap handles in Illinois as soon as mid-June.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Lazy_Magnolia_Brewing_Company_logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-14780\" src=\"https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Lazy_Magnolia_Brewing_Company_logo.jpg\" alt=\"Lazy_Magnolia_Brewing_Company_logo\" width=\"606\" height=\"289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Lazy_Magnolia_Brewing_Company_logo.jpg 606w, https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Lazy_Magnolia_Brewing_Company_logo-600x286.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 606px) 100vw, 606px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Downstaters will see them first, as soon as June 12th, and Chicago-area craft beer drinkers should be able to get their hands on Lazy Magnolia&#8217;s beers by mid-July.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The brewery, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brewbound.com\/news\/distribution-roundup-lazy-magnolia-tackles-9-new-markets\">quietly announced<\/a> in January it would be coming to Chicago, will be launching with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rjdistributing.net\/\">RJ Distributing<\/a> in central Illinois and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oneillinois.net\/\">OneIllinois<\/a> MillerCoors cluster of nine wholesalers in the Chicago area. We&#8217;re still working to confirm the Quad Cities and southern Illinois distributor for Lazy Magnolia.<\/p>\n<p>In total, four beers will be making their way here including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Southern Pecan<\/strong> (six-pack and draft); a beer which Karl once <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guysdrinkingbeer.com\/dispatches-from-the-south-review-lazy-magnolia-southern-pecan-nut-brown-ale\/\">described<\/a> as pouring, &#8220;<em>a nice tan with nut notes on the aroma and a lighter heft than I\u2019m used to from this type of brown ale<\/em>.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Southern Hops\u2019pitality<\/strong> (six-pack and draft); described by the brewer as a session IPA even though it clocks in at 6% ABV.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Song of the South<\/strong> (draft only); a 3.2% ABV Berliner Weisse.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timber Beast<\/strong> (4 packs only); a rye IPA which Lazy Magnolia calls, &#8220;<em>A spicy, full-bodied, rye pale ale balanced with a generous dose of Zythos hops.<\/em>&#8220;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We don&#8217;t have any details yet on Chicago launch events, but we do know there are some tap takeovers and launch parties planned in central Illinois beginning June 12th.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Just in time for the dog days of summer, Lazy Magnolia is bringing its liquid southern charm to Illinois.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":14780,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[471,348,687,855],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.5 -
