Behold: the May 2016 beer labels we\u2019ve discovered.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

\"GDB<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nE<\/span>ach week (or thereabouts) we pore over a database of beer labels approved by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, or TTB, to bring you new, reworked or re-branded beers from brewers across Illinois (and sometimes Northwest Indiana) before they hit store shelves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can do this too, if you want! All of these are publicly available through the TTB\u2019s website<\/a>. But you don\u2019t have to, because you have us and we\u2019re <\/em>the dorks that find this kinda stuff interesting.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month\u2019s approved beer labels for May 2016 hail from: <\/strong>White Oak Brewing, Solemn Oath. Lagunitas, Blind Pig, Pipeworks, Off Color, Arcade, Forbidden Root, Rolling Meadows, Black Belt, Hop Butcher For the World, Goose Island, Half Acre, Peoria Brewing Company, Pollyanna, St. Nicholas Brewing, Ten Ninety and Radium City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note<\/em>: Just because a beer label has cleared the TTB does not mean it will be released soon, if at all<\/strong>. Many breweries send labels to the TTB to have them available should they decide to release a beer, or with plans to release a beer but may not be released for any number of reasons. Treat these labels as an idea of what your favorite Illinois breweries might be doing, but nothing is certain until the breweries release the actual beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, if you\u2019re looking for keg rings. we don\u2019t post them anymore; they can occasionally give insight into a new beer name but generally a bunch of round things with printing on it isn\u2019t the best visual experience.
