Metropolitan Brewing Gets Some ABC Sitcom Love (Insert Laugh Track Here)

While some of us are still stinging from the cancellation of the very-similar-yet-far-superior “Perfect Couples” earlier this season, “Happy Endings” on ABC has been picking up the slack. Since it’s set in Chicago, they (just like nearly every other TV show set in Chicago) typically get just about everything about the city wrong. Ever seen “My Boys?” You know what we’re talking about.

Happy Endings Krankshaft

Last night, Damon Wayans Jr. exhibited some marvelous taste in craft beer when he was shown carrying a sixer of Metropolitan Brewing’s Krankshaft along with his groceries. For a show that has shown people cooking on food trucks (a distinct Chicago no-no for now), it’s a surprising case of a show based in Los Angeles getting something right about our city for a change.
